Easy Berry Cheesecake Trifle Recipe

I pulled out my favorite trifle recipe today to make and take to a 4th of July party tonight and realized I’ve never shared it here on Landeelu.com!  I’ve been making it for years and it is so easy!  The delicious layers  taste like a light and fluffy cheesecake and you can top it with pretty much whatever you want.  I decided to use strawberries and blueberries to make it a little patriotic for the big celebration tonight because why not, right?  

This would be a fantastic dessert for a baby shower or bridal shower too!  It’s definitely a crowd pleaser!

Here is what you’ll need to make your own delicious

Berry Cheesecake Trifle Recipe:

• 2 (8oz) cream cheese, softened
• 2 C. powdered sugar
• 1 C. sour cream
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 1/8 tsp. almond extract
• 1 C. (1/2 pint) whipping cream, whipped
• 1 angel food cake, cubed

Directions:

1. In large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, vanilla, and almond extract.
2. Fold in whipped cream.
3. Gently mix in cubed angel food cake.
4. Layer in trifle bowl with berries of your choice.  For an even more patriotic look, put angel food cake mixture in 9×13 pan and arrange strawberries and blueberries to look like the American flag.
5. Refrigerate and serve chilled.

Ingredients

1. 2 pkgs (8oz) cream cheese, softened

7. 1 angel food cake, cubed

Notes

1. To make this dessert patriotic, dish angel food cake mixture into a 9x13 pan and arrange sliced strawberries and blueberries to look like the American flag!
